You see your family’s illustrated characters and approve them before you pay. Payment is online through Paystack.
We make it and deliver it
Your 24 stories are written and illustrated for your family, checked by a person, printed as an A4 hardcover and delivered.

What is the Christmas Advent book?
A personalised, illustrated A4 hardcover book of 24 short Christmas stories, one to read each day from 1 to 24 December. Your children, and the grown-ups they choose, are the characters, and your family’s traditions are woven into the stories. Every book is unique.
Who can be in the book?
Your children are the stars of the stories, joined by the grown-ups they choose. You tell us who to include when you answer the questionnaire.
How do you create our illustrated characters?
You upload a few photos of each person, and we use them to create that person’s illustrated character. You see the characters and approve them before you pay.
Do you use AI?
We use AI tools to help draft the stories and illustrations, and a real person checks every page before it’s printed.
Does a person check the book?
Yes. Every book is checked by a person before it’s printed.
How much does it cost?
R1,500 per book. Delivery by The Courier Guy is R109 to a locker or R169 to your door (door delivery isn’t available for farms or smallholdings). If your child’s school is a partner school, delivery to the school is free.
How does free delivery to school work?
If your child’s school is one of our partner schools, you can choose free delivery to the school. Books are delivered to the school office, and you collect yours on a set day. Anyone with your order reference can collect it for you. Read more about partner schools.
When can I order?
Christmas orders open soon, and we’ll confirm the last day to order for Christmas when they do. Email us and we’ll let you know when you can order.
What happens to our photos?
Your photos are used only to create your family’s book. Our full privacy policy will be published when orders open.
How do I pay?
Online, through Paystack, a secure payment provider. You pay after you’ve approved your characters.
Do you make books for other occasions?
Christmas is our first book. Birthday and other occasion books are planned, so more occasions are coming.
